Interracial Love

Interracial love; I hate you.

Okay….

I love you,

But I hate the way you have skewed my brothers perception of who they can love,

Or who can love them correctly

You have my strong black brothers under the impression that a strong black woman isn’t good enough

Now you got them thinking that they’re way to much.

I know….

color shouldn’t be a factor in who you choose to love;

But why is that we…your sisters, your friends

are not good enough.

I don’t understand why you don’t want us.

Why do feel you can love us, but not…love us.

You act as if we are a contagious disease that you want none of.

But since the beginning of time you’ve been surrounded by us;

Your mothers, and your grandmothers act just like us.

But you say we’re to much;

I say we had to be because the brothers before you weren’t doing enough.

You grew up with us, being your mothers, sisters, brothers, fathers, fathers, fathers and grandfathers

because they wouldn’t step up.

So in essence you created us

But at the end of the day you don’t want nothing to do with us. What’s up?

What did we do so wrong; to point where feel like you can’t love us.

Instead you look at us in disgust. ….

But I can’t help but feel like we are to blame..

Like maybe if we would have been more selective with your fathers..

We wouldn’t continue to create generations of cowards…
