Intersection

I kneel in the flowers

An endless rhythm of crosses in front of me

Uncountable faceless shades staring down

In front of me the present

Full of color and innonence

Behind the past

Their memories

Of a bleak and sorely experienced world

When I kneel here

I am at an intersection

Between these men's forgotten lives

And their remembered deaths

In this Field of Flanders

Most of my stuff is inspired by some of the very somber anti-war poems written after WW1. Others can be on a whim or based off fictional works.
