Intertwining
Dear special someone,
Coincidental how we did meet
Magically swept off my feet
By surprise you ended up so sweet
Our past revealed; darkness loomed
Confided though we carried gloom
Somehow it caused our love to bloom
I’m tryna leave the past behind me
Closer than my shadow following
Forget the fantasizing
Gotta find my own identity
Island vacation; a honeymoon
Maybe children; careers to choose
Wait three years, we’ll make it all come true
There’s many things I wished to do
Yet chief of them was keeping you
Lost that chance way too soon before June
I’m tryna leave the past behind me
Closer than my shadow following
Forget the fantasizing
Gotta find my own identity
Separated, still intertwining
Look in my eyes, we’re both crying
No one knows of all that we’ve gone through
I’m tryna leave the past behind me
Closer than my shadow following
Forget the fantasizing
Gotta find my own identity
