Intervention
How many times have I been here?
A fair few I’d say.
But what do I do now?
There doesn’t seem to be a way
That I can explain how I feel
Or why I do what I do.
Everything has so many angles
But this is nothing new.
I’m screaming but not being heard.
There’s always a way to turn
And make me look responsible
While everything around me starts to burn.
I know it’s my fault.
I know what I am.
Mean, selfish, everything disappointing.
I just want to hide like a clam.
I don’t always want to fight.
I want you to see what I see,
I want you to understand.
That I never stopped being me
Even though things are different now.
I wish you could see through my eyes
And feel how happy I am.
What you’re seeing is disguised
By the stress you’re causing me.
The many sides of all these concerns
Are spinning me around
If we listen maybe we can learn
And see theres more to be found.
