Introspection of Delusion

Billions of stars, Billions of galaxies,

and here I am, in a world

of possibilities.

How did I get here?

What does it mean?

Do the aliens above wonder the same thing?

Because in my mind I’m reading,

imagining life far away-

thinking about what to do

on a rainy day-

But really I’m stuck in class,

reading the maps

of the world,

learning about things that give me

a bore.

But this is my life:

an institution.

Where the only freedom I have

is to write.

And the only love I want,

is hard to find.

Somebody tell me,

where do I hide?

when everyone is

        blind.

Because I’m the younger sister

of a prodigy,

living in a life

of uncertainty.

Although it may seem liberating

and fascinating,

it’s really frustrating and

vibrating,

in my head.

Over and over and over again.

Until I’m brought back to reality,

where the people are cruel,

and wars are the new

trade school.

I pinch myself,

and I survive.

And still I try to live my life,

behind the stars-

behind invisible scars.

I have a long way left to go.

And maybe one day

I will find the realities

of this

  time.
