Introvert

Introvert
Always been
I look from the outside
Banging on the door
Too far out of touch
I'm an introvert
Looking in
Time moves way too fast
Stuck in my head
Escape or Accept
I just don't know
Attempts are winning
A thousand-"o"
God made me this way
So far and yet so close
I don't know how to connect
The way to plug
Into these people so so near
All these things in my head
Seem more real than you to me

Pleas for help
Are silent to their ears
Admittedly unable communicate
I want friends
Words don't reach
Giving up I just cannot be
Someone will meet me and see me
I'll know them too

Recovery is swift-whenever failures all convene
Distractions free within ticks of despair
Even Introverts have families
Love need not words
Moot, thank The Lord
Drowning may occur in this poor head of an introvert
But I'll keep coming back for them.
