Introvert

Refuge is certain in my mind:

I'm home.

When alone,

There's nothing but us,

Me and myself

No one to judge

And no need to rush

Certainly refuge is found in my self,

I'll rely on nobody else.

But what to do of loneliness?

The fear of the fear is far too great

To procure the gift of society's

"Welcome" arms

I find myself with no fun or

Hope for love,

But this is above the fear of the fear

Which is far too great

Reconcile my psyche, and cure my pain

Release my brain from my own steel

chains

The chasm is vast and with no bridge to

Combine,

I settle for divide

My fear abides.

My mind is not safe and

the fear of my fear is far to great

To live with my pain

From being alone

By my own damn choice,

So I pray for panacea,

My soul will rejoice
