Introverted Heart

I look around the world and see the people passing by

Absorbed in my own thoughts, I never wonder why

They're here

Or where they've been

Or how they feel today.

But then I think, and care too much

I lay awake at night

Wonderng why some people act

With no sense in their head

I long to show them what I think

And tell them how I feel

But to express what's deep inside

is harder than it seems

I pray and pray for those I love

And wish them very well

But when we are both face to face

'Tis a harder thing to tell

Though I seem all by myself

And barely say a word

I work, and care

And do my best

To make this a better world.
