Invincible
Strutting through school thinking you’re all that
Thinking you’re invincible, able to fly
16, 17, 15, 14
Walking out of school walking into a party
Drink put in hand, no big deal
Few sips won’t kill you, you’re the man
Few sips turn into a beer, one into two into seven into eight
Drifting off into lala land your so called friend says the magic words
I. Dare. You.
Before it can register, shirt goes flying, shoes kicked off
And you’re running down the street king of the world
.... Not realizing you’re friend is filming for Youtube stardom
One night, now no college will accept you
Not wanting a naked drunk running through their halls
One night, now no job will hire you thinking every day you take off
you’re downing a six pack
Soon you’re on the street doing what you can to make ends meet
All cause of one night
Cops come, pounding on your door, footage in hand of you selling weed to a minor
Trial comes and goes, five years behind bar
Five years of your life wasted
Five years of mama sitting on her bed, crying her eyes out,
screaming “Where did I go wrong?!”
Flashback to the present beer in hand, echos of tears in your head
Put it down little boy, it’s finally hitting you
Invincible is just a word they put in the dictionary
