Invisibility

Some people are given a superpower.

A power known and wanted by many.

While you beg for this power,

it's holder so desperately wants it gone.

Invisibility.

The ability to go unseen

by the world around you.

They try day in and day out

to fight it but often they cannot.

They are stuck with this superpower,

Invisibility.

They think they have made friends

only to be ignored the next day.

To most everyone

they do not exist.

Invisibility

Their struggle defines them.

It captures them and steals them.

When they try to speak

words fail to come out.

Invisibility.

So I have written these words 

to tell them 

I hear, I see, 

your superpower does not

stop me.
