Invisible
I sit here, invisible to you
You get your cards, shuffle through them, shuffle again, read up on the strategy, run the play in your head, it's a race for optimizing the best strategy to win, the best card combination, this one or that one, what deck combination will take me to the win...there's no time to waste... preparation is key
while I sit here waiting for a hello, how was your day, a meeting of the eyes that once longed for me or I thought they had, he speaks to you and you don't turn your gaze from the cards that have you hypnotized, he like me, eager to see you and eager to be seen by you ... He is seven but he waits, he waits until you have a minute, a minute to break away from the magic spell those cards hold on your eyes, on your hands, on your time, on your mind, on your heart ...it comes ..the break from the cards but only for a brief moment and then you are gone...
Your hands, your hands, your time, your time, your mind, your mind, your thoughts, your thoughts all wrapped around the strategy of the cards, the cards that are so powerfully drawing you in, pulling you away from the present, but what depth of life do these cards hold, are they as eager for your attention as those around you waiting for your hand, waiting for your time, waiting for your mind, waiting for your thoughts to be wrapped around them...
You seek understanding for the spell of the cards... We seek you, your hands, your time, your mind, your thoughts... We seek the ability to draw you into our lives, we seek the power to draw you into our present moments..mentally ..physically ... All Thoughts as focused and ..intertwined as you have allowed the cards to do to your mind... We try with no avail ... We try but we can't captivate you ... We can't draw you away from the hold of the card...
You are angered by the thought of the cards holding less power... Taking less of your time... You can't see what we see... The power of the cards the consuming nature of the cards... There is only so much time in an hour, in a day, in a week
one day you will look back, you will see our efforts weren't as selfish as you perceived, our efforts weren't to take something out of your life but to fill it with us... To fill it with people who only wanted your time.. your focused attention, who only wanted you in their present moment ... Not just part of you, not random moments of interest, but full in-the-moment interest, focused and desired attention...
Yet the cards win... I hope they get you to the big win...the win you're searching for...
And we .. We reluctantly retreat and withdrawal into ourselves as to not interrupt your all consuming concentration
