The Invisible Prison

I feel like everyone Is around me There just adding bricks Building walls around me Covering me up Taking away the light Restricting where I can go What I can do Who I can see For who they are What I can think For my own sake They say they care They say its for my own good They say everyone needs this They say I should want this But I want the light I want my freedom I want to burn out Because I lived Because I loved Get your eyes off your death Stop building my tomb I don't need anyone's eyes Not from an imaginary god Not from my own imagination And not from from someone else Someone that hasn't been here much longer than I When it's compared to the life of the universe I want to get out of this tomb Out of this mind Out of this life Off of this planet And past our star And live with the others I'll just hold my breath, And jump.

Longboard_Man

I've been writing poetry for about two years now, I just finished my first year at Purdue and I am a gymnast, parkour enthusiast, longboarder and I do pretty much every other extreme sport, and I adore nature.
