Invisibly Inked Laws of Life
Hidden within every Biology textbook leaf,
sleeping behind the stiff guardsmen
of the times new Roman Empire
a quarantined stain of citrus children
beg for release from their playpen
to tell whimsical stories of laughter and love
that the world doesn’t take seriously.
Shine some heat on Chapter One,
and the Roman guards of passed Times perish,
hands clenched with fists of rage
at the discovery of their humiliating weakness.
Once clear and invisible, now clearly legible
the light lemon letters stretch their arms and legs
from such a long slumber, making their appearance.
Giggling with delight as naughty children do,
they whisper the other first chapter of life.
Where love is not invited, love will show up anyway.
In the drab grey corridors of Inc.’s and Co.’s
the sternest of businessmen try hiding their hearts
in starchy suits and clenched jaws.
They can run, but they can’t hide.
A business handshake is their desperate loophole
of concealment by mere shrinkage. But size never mattered.
Any microscope lens can make out the oil oases
that spout out drops of human grease
that glide down cuticle waterslides
and dive out of porous palms
into the tiny funnels in fingers
playing in a water park of weaved hands
and having sweet sticky hand sex.
A homolicious encounter
from one man’s hands to another
where a lover is no less than a friend
and a friend no less than a lover
and both lovers and friends are every business partner.
The lemony language fades soon after.
But one day they’ll perish again by another heat wave
and so the cryptic kids will reveal
another juicy secret.
