Invitation For An Honor
Dancing in circles face to face.
A spacious ballroom in this place.
A white dress of satin & lace.
Necklaces sparkle in musical air.
Her dress dusts the floor but she dont care.
The people clap, drank, & stare.
I know because I was there.
A stampede of tapping.
Laughing, singing, & clapping.
The center stage displayed.
This evening I decided to stay.
Mingling with friends today.
