The Irony

Are we all just personas embodying paradoxes?

We act like sheep, but inside are foxes.

Why do the innermost depths of our souls scare us?

Why is it the one thing we find hard to trust?

The media, the government spit lies to our face.

All these lies have a silver lace.

Why are they told: because of their appeal.

Why can we not accept that the "truth" in these statements is not real.

The falsity, it is what all evil is based on.

But deep down, we like it; and that is our dungeon.

The irony is apparent; our imprisonment

     Comes from our own entrapment.

These lies become our bliss.

And we all end up accepting Evil's beckoning kiss.
