Irony

Irony spreaded everywhere like butter,

Like how you encouraged my dreams to go to the gutter.

People overdosing on anti-depressants.

Knee deep in debt after all those investments.

How your family tells you they love you so

Much but that love never seems to show.

They torment and kick you down to the ground,

Making sure nobody hears a single sound

High expectations although they say be whoever,

When will you be yourself? Never

Friends saying they’ll support you no matter what,

But you know they hate you deep in your gut

‘Cause they bring you down and expose you,

Like a piece of trash, they’ll dispose you.

Throw you away when you’re not beneficial,

So fake you think that their body’s artificial.

How they think your selfish, but your selfless.

They say you’re guarded, when you’re defenseless

They say you’re calm, when you’re rebellious.

Ans they say their advice helps, when it depresses

Say how much I mean to you when I’m dead,

But when I’m alive you mess with my head

Irony smoothed like chocolate spread

Fixing a broken heart with a needle and thread.
