The Irony of Humanity

Oh Humanity,

Why must you be so cruel and conflicting?

Just when there seems to be no other vicious devices of torment left for your use,

You unleash your most contorted weapon yet.

You deploy compassion, remorse, and display a glimmer of hope.

As if your ways will ever change

Thus, myself and all other members of this existence remain captive

None escape

Because none wish to leave the light that follows the destruction of your savagery.

How ironic the inhumanity of Humanity?
