I close my eyes and I see
A world so kind
So full of beauty
A rare painting on a wall
Ever so elegant
But sadly I stand there and watch it fall
I am without words
Just simmering pain
And all this hurt
Becomes a never-ending game
Did I do something wrong?
Was I too hung up on admiration?
Did I not have it on the right wall?
And then it hit me like a fast moving train
It wasn’t my fault
Just the sad truth of shame
The game of love is hard to play
You can fold your cards and shut it out
Or you can bet and give it all you’ve got
But in the end, honey, when the game is over
All you’ve have is yourself(poems go here)
