Isabella, My Dear

Isabella, my dear, please if you take only one thing away from this letter, make it      this. You are loving and kind and a beautiful soul. Never let anyone tell you differently.

The overwhelming joy of knowing that you were coming -- that i would have a little sister who i hoped would be my best friend -- was amazing. I waited patiently nine whole months and all of the sudden you were here. I finally had a best friend -- a wonderful part of life.

When i was nine you made me the happiest person alive. I was struggling, and even though you were a year old you helped me. You’ve helped me more than anyone else -- you’ve helped me grow as a person. You showed me the beauty within all people.

I worry, I worry about you, me, john, and the other three.

Isabella, my dear, you will change this world, even if it’s only by helping one person. You will succeed, and you will challenge yourself, and you will live. You will grow, and you will love yourself, and you will flourish.

You have carried the weight of the world on your shoulders; if it was a boulder it would crush you.

I hope the world helps you. You will struggle but you will overcome because you are like a butterfly, fragile but one of the most beautiful parts of this life time.

In life you will encounter strange men, and women, who might not treat you correctly. They might hurt you quite a bit, but i’m here to help. I will hold you as you sob.

Isabella, my dear, I will help, but you have to want the help. You are my baby sister, my best friend, please never leave…

Now that I am sixteen and you are nearing eight, you are becoming stronger everyday. I know those kids are mean, i know they don’t believe in you, but I do.

Isabella, my dear, you must take care of yourself, for this world is harsh and a mess. People will hurt you, some won't accept you, but those people? Mean nothing, everyone has their opinions. That's just life. You have such a caring heart that those people will not be held back from opportunities because you are loving and kind and a beautiful soul.
