This Island

I wander about this island

Though my mind wanders to you

You are not even mine

But I hope our hearts will align

I'm alone on this island

Though not by choice

If I could have one thing here

It would be you, my dear

I'm fearful of this island

Though I fear being without you more

Your presence alone

Makes me feel at home

I'm stranded on this island

Though I pray that you'll save me

The moment I see your face

I know my heart will race

I can't wait to get off of this island

Though I will be anxious

I'll tell you that I love you

And you'll say "I already knew"
