Island
Alone on an island with me, myself and I
And my peace of mind
It's not a lot; it may not seem like much
But every now and then when life gets tough
A little peace of mind is enough
When the tides of life threaten to pull me under
A little peace of mind can truly do wonders
Somedays it's okay to just sit under the shade
Of the trees with the soft sand beneath my feet
With no one or nothing
Just my peace of mind
Giving myself the time to feel the sun shine
Letting it warm up my skin
And allowing myself to really let it sink in
It's easy for me to loose myself in the currents of life
The tides are fast and hard and they pull at my arms and my feet
Trying to make me feel beat, promising a realese
So every now and then the island is just what I need
It's my place of peace
With no one or nothing
Just me myself and I
And my peace of mind
