The Island

Alone on an island
Lost to the point I will never be found
Losing my sanity, slowly, slowly

Yellow sunsets bring me daily joy
Only to be followed by
Unbearably dark nights

Never again will I see my family
Everyone probably has moved on already though
Eternity will pass before the
Day my bones are found

I dont know how much longer I can last
Strange objects sometimes appear on the horizon never looking my way

Lost, could they be too?
Of course not
Venturesome people may cross this island's path, but
Even they can not become as lost as I am without love.
