The Island of Darkness

I'm stuck on this island,
But my dear friend you remain beside me
You make me smile even when times are dark
You know just what to say when I feel lost
Without you here, I would give up
This island consumes me and makes me weak
Yet you never leave my side
You give your words of wisdom and hold my hand
When you're by my side, this dark place feels nonexistent
As you guide me through this life-consuming island
You show me that this is all worth fighting for
It's thanks to you, my friend,
That I can survive through this dead-end
