Island of Faith

Stranded on an island in the middle of nowhere

In a beautiful serene setting; what will I do there!

I have no great possessions; I have not one good friend

I haven't explored this island - what will be around the bend!

Oh Lord, why do I sit here; all scared and all alone

I wish I'd have my baggage, then I could use my cell phone.

As I sit and I ponder, a smile comes to my face

God put me here for a reason; to escape the everyday race!

To sit and take in his beauty; to be still and know he's here

To listen to his creatures is music to my ears!

While I take in God's presence, and cherish the faith he gave to me,

A ship comes around the corner and from this island I am free!

The island gave me insight into God's greatest gift to thee

It's having faith in our great Master in the midst of adversity!
