This Isn't Love
This isn't love.
Love should be patient and kind,
not obsessive and jealous.
Love shouldn't tear me away from my family
nor should it crush the friendships I have.
Love knows that arguments happen
but it realizes its mistakes and apologizes.
Love doesn't blame me for its insecurities,
it doesn't force apologies from my mouth.
Love accepts me for who I am,
no matter my size, my beliefs, my appearance.
Love doesn't pressure to become something I'm not;
it doesn't make me sick or unrecognizable.
Love doesn't suffocate me everytime its in the room
nor does it smother me in unhealthy attention.
This isn't love.
This is suicide to my happiness; I know better.
Goodbye.
