This Isn't Me

It took me years to figure out who I am.

It took me years to figure out what I need to do.

Every teen goes through it.

Every teen fights to beat it.

I didn't fight it.

I let it live and thrive.

I've learned from it.

I've let it shape me.

It has shaped me into someone I don't want to be.

It needed to leave.

For once, I fought it.

For once, I saw I glimpse of who I can be.

That's who I am today.

That's what I've been looking for all along.

I'm different.

I'm strange,

I'm crazy,

And that's okay!
