isolation

Days don’t feel like days anymore

There more like one long nightmare of isolation

When night comes I can’t close my mind

But as the sun arises I’m struck with the realization

I haven’t slept another 24 hour period of time

Hearts ache for communication;STOP! Isolation occurs

Lips long to be tenderly kissed

But the world is sick

COVID-19 this, Corona virus that’s all we murmur

Minds imagine faces that are missed

And we try to convince this is just a trick
