Isolation

The time has come to fade away.

We had the world but now it's gone,

your beauty took on many forms.

Now you're gone and my heart is torn.

Ever since you left, I started to rethink my life.

Honestly, sometimes I just wanna die.

I sit on the bathroom floor to rock and cry,

back and forth, I repeat, as time crawls by.

Loneliness lets me remember how I never said goodbye.

How I'll never be anything more than just me,

and how much longer I can stand to be

a resident of this desolate world.

I dig through the cabinet for my silver prize.

When I see that shiny key,

that opens the door to immortality,

I think twice and ask "is this really me?"

"is this all that I'm destined to be?"

I open my mouth, but out comes no scream.

My eyes close as I prepare for eternal dream.

I press the razor to my throat. I start to bleed.
