Issland

i think we love who life throws at us.
i never meant to be anything,
except myself.
i never meant to be a "part" of a subculture, i think
we all could stand to be more uniquely insular.
they say you must become an island,
and i agree.
i sing that song for the whole world to get free.

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
