It

It is the indescribable

It is the incomparable

Not fickle or laden

But a joyful haven

Where truth flows freely

And thought runs deeply

Grace is abundant

And not redundant

Where sorrow may fall

But not in gall

For only a short while

Till they pass the trial

It’s a boat on the sea of time

When all have gone past their prime

Waves of trial have beat against

Those who stood firm and undispensed

Someday may come to find

They were not at all confined

But on the contrary were as devised

To make it through and not capsize
