This Is It

 This Is It

Something I would change, is how people care.

We walk past others, barely notice they're there.

We stab them with words, and tear them down

This is the reason no love is found.

If I could change something, this would be it.

No longer in silence can I wait here and sit.

This evidence appears everywhere,

Do we see it, or do we just not care?

Hearts are hurting, and eyes spill water

To heal their pain, no one takes  bother.

No friendly smiles, no helping hand

Surely this couldn’t be humanities plan

It’s time to wake up, time to change

These awful habits, we have to exchange.

We are all the same, we have feeling too

Caring for others, we need to do.

This life is short, it’s all we get.

Let’s care for one another, not forget.

It’s time for change, time for new

This little difference starts with you.
