This is it
A rapist is a rapist if it’s someone you don’t know
Rape is only rape when you’re walking home alone
It’s a man’s job
Women cannot rape
And if a guy rapes a guy, it’s now a joke called “gape”
If you wear tight clothes
That means “go ahead”
And there are no boundaries
Once you get into bed
Rape isn’t rape
When you’re in a relationship with each other
And if a rapist gets you pregnant
You have no choice but to be a mother
If you first say yes
You have no choice
You already agreed
And lost your voice
If you don’t have scars or cuts to prove it
If you listened when he forcefully said “do it”
That’s not rape, it’s just a lie
Even though it killed your soul, you dealt with it inside
You had too much to drink
Couldn’t speak the words “no”
Wake up the next morning
And your sleeping sex-tape is a show
Society’s stigmas force victims to hide
To wither away, with this secret inside
Left to accept the blame with nothing to show
And all because they don’t understand “no”
You asked me what it is I need
It’s to no longer have to plea
For people to understand what I say;
That these stigmas and assumptions are not okay
