It Adds Up

To all my past and current teachers,

My homework load I shall now feature.

Ten physics problems does not seem so bad,

but when added to a Calc test, I get very sad.

We sit and focus all day long,

listening to lectures, not even one song.

The only break we get is a twenty-two minute lunch,

which we are forced to use as a left-over homework crunch.

It is okay to assign reading in Pride and Prejudice,

except when my amount of Econ homework makes me feel incredulous.

You must stop and think that we have six other classes,

one hour of work in each adds up to seven extra on our asses.

Though I do love learning and appreciate your dedication,

All I am asking for is a bit of time for meditation.
