Is it all just physical?

The first embrace may be cold and smooth.

Skin pale and breezed like procelain.

Eyes bright surrounded by pigments lost under puffy bags, advertising loss of sleep.

a smile that hangs in a frame around every corner of the house

but sometimes the eyes do not match the smile.

Messy hair; blonde and choppy.

hair that never sees a brush.  not as much as it should.

But the legs are long and the waist is small so the inside must match.

Flowers in frost last longer than conversations of personality in these lost generations.

Art is valued instead of selfies.

Poetry is valued over youtube videos.

The tired eyes and shaking fingers are able to recognize sad and beautiful things

but no one will ever know, becuase the soft pink lips,

kissable; plus.

They keep quiet. Watching. Not speaking.
