it can't, it shouldn't

NEVER seek to change thy past,

Past that is besmirched will be;

For intent and purposes

Quite the same.

The past is not for me; the past is not for me,

I say the future were its at,

Trembling, fearful, in the past.

Ahab fool a say!

Soon after you walk backward,

I traveled by the year 3000 you see,

Quite the same:

With a sigh I say we waste are time either way.
