It crept up like a jaguar under the blanket of the night before it overtook me.
Somehow it wriggled its way into my skin and bones, it's tendrils erupting from my skin.
Adulthood.
I had become one of them, the limitless ones.
With bones of steel, and minds that saw everything. When did it happen? When was it not happening?
I stared at my hands and realized these are the hands of people who built worlds, of those who fought wars, who wrote laws, and raised children.
In no time at all, and all of the time I ever had I became an adult. Initiated in the group who is responsible for the world.
