It Doesn't Matter

I sat down next to you at lunch today...

I told my best friend how I felt about you,

but I still haven't told you.

I see my best friends name pop up on your screen...

With a heart beside her name.

The text message read "She does like you but, your mine so it doesn't matter."

So you're hers,

You and her....

She was supposed to be my best friend...

Now both of you are gone.

I was afraid to even like someone again,

You were the first one I had feelings for.

Now I have no one.

Not you or her.

Just myself...
