It Doesn’t Matter

There will always be people who come out ahead.

Whether that be with looks, clothes,

grades, or dough.

But we must never lose ourselves in something we simply cannot control.

We must not conform to what we think other people want.

It doesn’t matter what those strangers think.

It doesn’t matter what your best friends think.

It doesn’t matter what your crush thinks.

It doesn’t matter what your parents think.

It doesn’t matter...

what anyone thinks.

Deep down, I know you’re struggling.

Whether that be with self doubt,

your worth,

your image,

but let me tell you,

there is nothing more important then Self Love.

Shape, size, age, weight, grades...

It doesn’t matter.

One day, you will look back and wonder,

Why didn’t I speak up?

Why did I let it effect me?

Why did I care so much?

But, hopefully, you will tell yourself,

it doesn’t matter.

All of the suffering,

All of the crying,

All of the Pain.

It will all subside in a matter of Seconds.

Like a snap reversing the age of time.

Your thoughts,

they will disappear.

Morphing and changing into a sense of nothingness.

A mere memory.

A memory that Doesn’t Matter.

Because one day, you will look back.

Not only look back, but you will look down.

Down on all of the tears.

All of the negative thoughts.

And just maybe,

You will finally think,

It. Doesn’t. Matter
