"It is in the earth that we do reside"

It is in the earth that we do reside.

Among the dust of stars in black abyss.

If we called earth different than all, lies.

Since compared with else, it would be dismissed.

There is nothing unique in where we are.

Our world, pushed and pulled like the suns and moons.

Undefinable when looked from afar,

A drop of water in a large lagoon.

Yet all that we have known has come from here.

From every child born with great innocence.

To every spring when flowers reappear.

All who live, prideful Terran citizens.

It is with this pride the earth doth shine out.

Brighter than the beams the stars bring about.
