It is Easy

It is easy in the world to live after the world’s opinion

It is easy to be anything other than exactly what I am

It is easy in my life to procrastinate change

It is easy think for hours and come to no conclusions

           other than I simply don’t know

It is easy to think of questions I don’t want to know the answers to

           and equally easy to forget there was anything to ask in the first place

It is easy to think like I’m the only thing in existence

            but nearly impossible to act like it

It is easy not to correct people when they’re not completely wrong

It is easy to pretend I understand

            harder, to convince myself it’s okay

            that I don’t.
