It is a Feeling
It is not something I can hold
Not something I can touch,
Not even something I can see, smell, or hear.
But it is the one thing I cannot live without.
It is something that I feel.
In my heart, in my soul, in every inch of my body.
This is the one thing I cannot live without.
It makes me feel warm and secure
Even in the chilly sting of winter.
This is the one thing I cannot live without
It makes me feel wanted and important
Even on a deserted island all alone.
This is the one thing I cannot live without.
It comes in endless amounts.
And it will never run out.
This is the one thing I cannot live without.
You can give it and receive it.
It doesn’t take wealth or beauty.
This is the one thing I cannot live without.
The one thing I cannot live without
Is being loved and adored.
Even if it is only by one person.
It is the one thing I could not live a day without.
