It is Him

I remember it like it was yesterday

the world was dark and meaningless

or maybe it really was yesterday

when I wandered broken and dreamless

When I worshiped money and idolized men

Played with lustful thoughts and took pleasure in sin

Temptation came swiftly and my flesh would give in

A vicious cycle that seemed to never end

Then it was on the 4th day that he called me

And gave me the gift of life eternily

My King is alive, for he is not dead

I sit at his feet and bow my head

I could not look up at him

for I am not worthy

he paid a price

in which I am not deserving

he came not to be served

but to live a life of serving

And He dispatches his angels

In a world where demons are lurking

So you see where for some it is phones or boys

And for others video games and toys

But I? You could take it all from me

And with Jesus I would still have the victory

For I could never live without my everything.

Surely, it is Him.
