It Isn't Over.

She asks for water to drown the bitter taste of regret
Her nerves couldn't calm that fragile glass
It shook like her future as she forced down a gulp of fear
She wondered what plans she will crush
With the dark ink of souls signed to a 20 minute procedure and a life time of what ifs

That hospital table is as cold as the dinner she will warm when she gets home
She could never afford to make two plates
Her Philosophy became a reality
And her neverevers began to wrap the blindfold of doubt over morality

She's playing piñata with her stomach
Picking up false hope and stuffing it in the already lie filled bags of
"I'll never make it to college now"
She makes hopeless look innocent

She is just another statistic
Another life wasted on the daydreams of leaving the streets
she is wrapped in poverty
Mom always said the hood had a way of making circles out of life
and call it self fulfilling prophecy
but her GPA never had a chance when she had to make rent on minimum wage

That hospital table is so cold
that thin sheet of white paper between her soft skin and Motherhood
hits like a ton of bricks

"I'm feeling sick"
"Don't worry baby Girl this will be quick"
"And next thing you know life will be back to roses"
Every man she met was another lie to put hopes in

She is the generation of Fatherless standards
She is the mother of angels
She is loves fallacy
She is a genocide covered in red tape and medicare

Hold onto something because Equality never cost more than it does today

Beautiful
I know you've never heard this, but don't cover your ears
They've been rapping your soul for years
And soon you will find that they can only chain you if you don't fly
You are worth more than those diamonds stuck between dreams and your eyes

You can write futures with decision carved into today
Genocide never had a pretty bow
but we can cover it up with definitions
You're the mother of life

Your tummy bears hope
And tricycle rides
And a Wedding
And College
And everything you dream of is being flushed out like last nights dinner

Don't let them blind you
I know you've never seen this
but your eyes were made to be open
9 months of pain has a magic way to restore
You are not a whore
You never were

You are the mother of Life
And you have beauty infused in every one of those golden strands of hair you tried to wipe away the idea of a father figure with
You are the generation who's dad is like disneyland
Just another dream you could never afford a day with
Your child will be the end to being alone
This is not the darkest night
Don't let a doctor steal everything you ever imagined
Life has a light at the end of the tunnel

She is the daughter of Philosophy
And the sister to indulgence
She is the consequence of liberty without sovereignty

She is the most beautiful Girl God will ever mold into existence
She is the infusion of beauty and reality
And she kills her self every time she rips a piece of who she is out
And throws it to the doctors

She Is the most beautiful girl God will ever mold into existence
She is the craftsmanship of perfection
