It just took seventy days to say Hello

It just took seventy days
to say Hello
Seventy days to make a phone call,
Days turned into weeks and months
Lost the count after all.

When the dreams moved
past the horrors,
You were there
Standing tall,
Calling loud and unfolding it all.

Sweet waters of Kokernag
Cold as ice from Shangri-la,
Snow clad peaks,
Gushing the pure breeze.

Did you hear the Bulbul?
Beautiful with grace
Dancing through the meadows
Innocent of the occupied alleys.

Why didn’t you send the message?
For the pigeons, we’re still free,
But the world knows regardless,
Heaven is breathing in the siege.
