It means everything

"What does poetry mean to me?"

That's hard to think about!

It's weird to think that at one time

I just started to write and lucked out!

It's hard for me to talk

about all of my emotions

so poetry is my way to relax

and feel like I'm at the ocean.

I try not to get upset

But, it usually just doesn't work.

So, I write poems to calm my nerves

rather than acting like a jerk.

Without poetry I would be lost

but my poems have to rhyme.

I like to sit and think and write,

it really does pass time.

Ican't tell you how I started

to find my love of writing

but poems have a way to my heart

its just so much better than fighting.

They relax me and make me happy

I just cannot thank poets enough

for being so talented and wonderful

trust me, I know that it's tough.

I definitely have plans to write 

for many years to come

poetry is so beautiful! 

If I didn't write, I'd be dumb.
