it might be

being with you might be nice it might be like the space in between music notes, the gap between our lips and a kiss that heals a kiss that takes all the salt water with it, it might be the jagged rasp of a voice without breath, it might be a gentle release, the final notes of a lullaby, why it might even be the sound of practiced hands on ivory keys, a quick goodnight that lasts only until the light peeks through your windows and wakes you to say, hello, hello, good morning darling it might be how my hands will knead the midsummer breeze into your back and my legs will lead you home when the night is tipping over into dawn and your eyes have drunk in too much moonlight to remember wether to make a right turn or a left but you can follow my lead
