It Never Came

I kept waiting for you to say "I've been thinking"

All through that Saturday night

We held hands, we kissed,

We shared intimate moments,

But then we went on just the same

And I'm wondering

Will you change your mind?

Can 2 years become 2 months

Or am I just digging myself into a heartbreak rut?
