Is It Really Just a Hoodie?

If I could wear your hoodie, I would be better prepared for life I could brave the cold of lonely hours I could withstand the rain of sad tears I could live feeling your arms wrapped around me Your smell reaching my olfactory neurons, comforting me, telling me you are there even when I can’t see you If I could wear your hoodie, I wouldn’t worry so much about the future I know that a hoodie isn’t a commitment like a ring, but it’s a step A willingness to give me a piece of you, of yours Trusting that I will take care of it, keep it free of stains, treasure it always, hold it tight So if I could wear your hoodie, I would feel like a had a piece of your heart And if you could fit into my hoodies, I would give you mine But it might fit just a little too tight I would give it to you anyways, though Just promise that if you rip it, I can have all of your hoodies
