Is It Really Love To You?

The word love is used so regularly that we become numb

We think we mean it but it’s so common it’s dumb

What is love?

It should be pure like a white glove?

You may think you mean it but do you really?

Are you really thinking clearly?

Love should be built off of communication

Not the need for domination

You should be there to lift one another up

Not crush each other like a paper cup

You should trust one another and not need to pry

This mistrust can lead to anger, do you want to see her cry?

He hits?

Throws fits?

“I do this because I love you.”

Does that sound healthy to you two?

We need to do self-examinations

I know you may have good intentions

It’s painful I know

But you need to let go

There’s no trust here

He doesn’t let you be

They aren’t supporting one another

Instead you hurt the other
