It Remains, So Do I
It has always been with me
in classrooms, during soccer games, and on stages.
It shapes
my thoughts my actions my words my breaths my mind.
It has always been with me, but now I have
understanding friends, a therapist, and supportive parents.
Its influence is so strong sometimes that
I cannot breathe I cannot think I cannot hear I cannot move.
Still, I breathe, I think, I hear, I move, and remember how I have grown and improved.
My anxiety has molded me, but now I start to mold it.
So it remains, but so do I.
